FAQ'S ABOUT CUSTOM CLUB FITTING...
WHY SHOULD I HAVE A CUSTOM CLUB FITTING?
You should have a custom club fitting because every golfer is unique in size, body shape and style of golf swing. A custom fitting results in clubs that are specifically designed for you and suited to your specific height, strength, clubhead speed and swing characteristics. At Highland Rim each custom club customer is fitted for club length, lie angle, shaft selection and grip size.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A CLUBFITTING?
The Nike 360 Fitting System is designed to measure all aspects of your game, including ball spin and control, lie angle and launch angle. To begin, measurements are taken such as wrist-to-floor, height and hand size to help determine the right sized club and at what angle it should be to the ground.
The next step is to use one of your own clubs to hit some balls. Using the results from your swing analysis and the measurements that are taken, the club fitter will then assemble a club to determine the proper clubhead, shaft and grip. Impact tape is then placed on the club and you will hit more balls from a lie board. As you hit the ball the board will leave a mark on the tape showing whether the heel or the toe of the club is striking the floor first. The resulting mark will show whether the club face needs to be flatter or more upright. Adjustments will be made to the club and the procedure will be repeated until the correct components are assembled.
Next, things get a little more advanced. Analysis equipment will measure everything from your club speed to the side spin of the ball so that you will get maximum distance from your shot. The analysis will also measure the launch angle of the ball, how much backspin you generate and impact efficiency - all which affect distance. The angle in which the club approaches the ball and the sidespin of it will help fix your game, too.
After determining the best custom fit clubs, you will then have the opportunity to purchase clubs fit specifically for you. The clubs will be ordered and available for pick-up in typically 2-3 weeks.

WHAT IS THE COST?
Club fitting is FREE with the purchase of one or more clubs, otherwise cost is $25.
DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE AN ENTIRE SET OF CLUBS AT ONE TIME?
You will be fitted for the entire set of clubs but you do not have to purchase an entire set. We will keep your measurements on file so you can order as little as one club at a time, multiple clubs or the entire set.
WHERE IS THE FITTING DONE?
Your private fitting will be in our indoor/outdoor teaching bay at the far end of the clubhouse.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Your custom fitting will take approximately 45 minutes.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
Bring along your current set of clubs and be prepared to hit 30 to 40+ golf balls.
WHAT DIFFERENCE WILL IT MAKE IN MY GAME?
Custom fitting won't cure all your bad shots but if you swing properly then the club will arrive correctly at impact and should produce a straight shot at your target. The correct shaft length and club head loft on a driver can translate to a 10-20 percent increase in average distance off the tee, while the proper lie angle on a set of irons can result in straighter shots from the fairways. These corrections will improve your game.
HOW DOES THE COST OF CUSTOM CLUBS COMPARE TO STANDARD CLUBS?
When purchasing a comparable set of Nike clubs there is no difference in cost between a standard set and a custom fit set. However, one possible exception is when a special custom shaft may be needed.
