February 2010 Newsletter

Dear Fellow Golfers,

Happy New Year!!! A little late I know, but I’ve just thawed out from the first few weeks of the year. I hope you all had wonderful holidays and were able to spend time with your loved ones. Our staff (pictured below) got together for our annual Christmas Party with this year’s honoree being Superintendent Pat Pewitt. Everyone received a dozen golf balls with Pat’s caricature on them (see above).

The new golf season is rapidly approaching and now is a good time to start a regular stretching program with fitness tips found in this newsletter. But don’t wait too long, it’s warming up so call now to reserve a tee time. Read about our upcoming February and March events and consider signing up with your family or friends. Over 40 golfers participated in our Two Person Scramble held January 16^th and both flights won some great prizes. A secondary contest was started by golfers trying to skip extra golf balls off the frozen pond and onto the green on Hole 16. Junior golfer DJ Adcock was the only successful one. When I left for the day there were over two dozen balls scattered on the ice.

Nike Rental Set Blowout!!!

Our Nike rental sets are for sale and only a few remain. We have both men's and women's, even a left handed set. All sets include a driver, fairway hybrid, irons, putter and bag.
