Highland Rim Flood Update

Dear Fellow Golfers,

These last few days are ones we will never forget. I pray that this newsletter finds all of you safe and hopefully recovering from the storm. I wanted to update you on the status of our Highland Rim course and our operating plan for the next few weeks.

Like many of you did at home, we experienced a significant amount of damage from the flood. Sycamore Creek, which normally has a depth of one foot beneath the bridge, topped out at approximately 18 feet, 9 feet above what the Corp of Engineers told us was the 100-year-flood!
I never even thought about a 1000-year-flood event.

I've outlined below what I anticipate will be our May operating schedule. I've also included some pictures from before, during, and after the flood. They're pretty amazing. Pat, James and the maintenance crew are doing astonishing things in mitigating the effects of the flood. If you see them please give them a pat on the back.

Many members of our Highland Rim customer family have called or come out to express their support. We really appreciate it. May 10th - June 14th: Holes 1-8, 10 - 18 open (17 Holes).
Regular 9 hole rates apply, 17 holes $28 weekends, $22 weekdays all day.

Pictured above is the damage to our #6, 9 , 11 greens. Trees ripped through the greens, exposing them to the flood waters. By 5/8 #6 will be repaired, by 5/15 #11 will be back in use, but #9 will take just a bit longer!
